From The Roof Of the Aurora Hotel

This is a familar view to anyone who has been on a trip to Satu Mare Romania with Light Your World Ministry it is from the roof of the Aurora Hotel in which we used to stay. Our new home while in Satu Mare is the Hotel Dana II about a block away from the Aurora. The Dana II is a bit more modern with air conditioning in the rooms we enjoyed our stay there last July and are looking forward to our return trip.

We had our first meeting to discuss next year's trip, not a lot of people showed up but several have called or emailed and let me know they are interested in going this summer. Benji Fowler the youth minister of Stock Creek Baptist Church announced Wednesday evening that he was going and taking several of the youth with him, we are very excited to see some of our youth going to help share Christ with the young people of Romania.

Our next meeying will be October 14 at 7:00 PM in the youth room of Stock Creek Baptist. We will mainly be discussing the main trip that we will be taking on July 17 through July 29 2009. We have the date but no definite prices yet. I have ask several people to submit prices so that we can pick the best travel arrangements for the most competitve price. I know that th cost will be between $2,300 and $2,600 USD but will try and narrow that down before the next meeting.
